Opportunities for Volunteers

Many hours of work go into the garden every week and all year round. This includes:

• Work on the Trust Board
• Teaching
• Various aspects of administration
• Gardening

By volunteering, you can meet new people, enjoy the garden, learn more about gardening, contribute skills, or get work experience for your CV.

Our main working days are every Thursday and Saturday from 10am to 2pm. We are always looking for more volunteer workers. BYO gardening gloves. Lunch for workers is provided at 12 to 12.30pm on these days.

The Christchurch South Community Gardens Trust Board

The Trust oversees the operation of the Garden and is looking for people with interests or skills in any or all of the following:

• Promoting neighbourhood sustainability & well being
• Public relations
• Not-for-profit businesses
• Human resources
• Community networking & education
